Mr. And Mrs. Hartin love living in the desert climate. Having always lived within formal city subdivisions with asphalt streets and lush green landscaping, their desire was to build a house amongst the natural desert landscaping set against the Superstition Mountain east of Apache Junction, Arizona. The style of the home would be appropriate for our southwest location with stuccoed walls and a tiled roof. In creating the floor plan and massing of the residence, Debora Parmiter maximized the views on both the front and rear of the residence with wide, deep verandas. To the east, the Superstition Mountain rises up to meet the sky while to the west, expansive views of the metro Phoenix city lights can be enjoyed on various terraced patios.
